Day 1 :

Arrival in Cotonou

Arrive at Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport. You will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a brief orientation of the city or relax at your hotel to prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 :

Cotonou City Tour & Ganvie Stilt Village

Start your day with a visit to the Dantokpa Market, one of the largest in West Africa. Then, take a boat trip on Lake Nokoué to visit Ganvie, the 'Venice of Africa,' a village built entirely on stilts. Return to Cotonou for the evening.

Day 3 :

Cotonou - Allada - Ouidah

Depart for Ouidah, stopping en route at Allada to visit the statue of Toussaint L’Ouverture, the hero of Haitian independence. Continue to Ouidah, the spiritual capital of Voodoo. Visit the Sacred Forest of Kpasse and the Temple of Pythons.

Day 4 :

Ouidah - The Slave Route

Dedicate the day to Ouidah’s poignant history. Walk the 'Slave Route' from the auction plaza to the Gate of No Return on the beach, a memorial to the millions of Africans enslaved. Visit the Ouidah Museum of History in the Portuguese Fort.

Day 5 :

Ouidah - Abomey

Travel north to Abomey, the capital of the former Dahomey Kingdom. Visit the Royal Palaces of Abomey, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the museum housing royal artifacts, thrones, and tapestries telling the history of the kingdom.

Day 6 :

Abomey - Porto Novo

Drive to Porto Novo, the official capital of Benin. Known for its colonial architecture and Afro-Brazilian heritage, explore the Great Mosque, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Honmé Museum (Palace of King Toffa).

Day 7 :

Porto Novo - Cotonou

Return to Cotonou. Spend the day exploring the Artisanal Center to see local crafts, wood carvings, and textiles. Enjoy a farewell dinner experiencing authentic Beninese cuisine.

Day 8 :

Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and any last-minute shopping or sightseeing before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of services.
