Meet Our Founder

My name is Gilbert Sepenu, Founder and CEO of Vialis Travel. Born and raised in Aflao, in Ghana’s beautiful Volta Region, I developed a deep appreciation for my country’s history, diverse cultures, and breathtaking landscapes from an early age. What began as childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for sharing the authentic beauty of West Africa with the world.

After earning my professional Tour Guide certification from HOTCATT in 2018, I began guiding travelers across Ghana. Since then, I have had the privilege of welcoming more than 5,000 guests from countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Jamaica, and across the Caribbean, leading everything from private journeys and family vacations to large group adventures.

One experience forever shaped my purpose.

While guiding visitors from the African diaspora through Cape Coast Castle, I witnessed many overcome with emotion as they connected with the history of their ancestors. Watching tears of remembrance, healing, and gratitude reminded me that travel is far more than sightseeing - it has the power to reconnect people with their roots, broaden perspectives, and transform lives.

That moment inspired the creation of Vialis Travel.
